Job Title

FPGA Engineer

Role Summary

Build and maintain FPGA solutions that accelerate ultra-low-latency trading systems. Work on architecture, design, simulation, testing, and deployment in close collaboration with quantitative researchers and strategy developers.

Own hardware solutions end-to-end and iterate on designs to improve performance in production trading environments.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 8+ years of FPGA or ASIC architecture, design, and development experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Partner with quantitative researchers and strategy developers to translate requirements into FPGA designs.
  • Architect and design hardware solutions, including board and component selection and key functional blocks.
  • Implement solutions from board-level design to API and deploy into production environments.
  • Develop, simulate, and test FPGA code; profile and optimize for ultra-low latency.
  • Collaborate with trading teams to tune performance and support operational deployment.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

  • Must-have: 8+ years of FPGA or ASIC architecture, design, and development using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Preferred: Experience with high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet and PCIe.
  • Plus: Experience with high-level languages (C, C#, Java) and system-level integration and deployment.
  • Prior experience in trading or finance is helpful but not required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or foreign equivalent.
