Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include implementing and supporting FPGA and embedded designs. Work will span hardware analysis, firmware interaction, and system-level debugging.

• Design, implement, and verify FPGA logic (VHDL/Verilog) targeting Xilinx devices.
• Integrate FPGA designs with firmware and microcontrollers; write/maintain C code as needed.
• Read and analyze circuit schematics and PCB-level designs to diagnose issues.
• Perform hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and lab debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, test) and iterate rapidly.
• Learn new tools, workflows, and domain-specific methods in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience for the role.

• Practical FPGA experience; familiarity with Xilinx toolchain preferred.
• Hands-on hardware and firmware knowledge — able to examine a circuit and determine behavior.
• Experience with VHDL, Verilog, or C for embedded/firmware development.
• Microcontroller experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work in a rapid-paced environment.

Education Requirements

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Other engineering degrees may be considered based on relevant experience.
