Role Summary
Design and implement FPGA-based digital systems as a contractor supporting a hardware engineering team in Camden, NJ. Primary focus on VHDL development, synthesis and implementation on Xilinx FPGAs using Vivado, with attention to configuration control and project tracking.
Experience Level
Mid-level β approximately 3β5+ years of professional FPGA design experience.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain VHDL RTL for FPGA designs.
- Synthesize, implement, and debug designs using Xilinx Vivado.
- Create and run testbenches and perform functional verification and simulation.
- Integrate FPGA logic with system interfaces and board-level peripherals.
- Use and maintain revision control for source code and releases.
- Support project tracking and Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting as required.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- 3β5+ years of FPGA product design experience using VHDL.
- Hands-on experience with Xilinx FPGAs and the Vivado toolchain.
- Experience with revision control systems (e.g., Git, SVN, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) processes.
- Eligible to work as a W2 contractor in the United States (W2 candidates only).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with timing closure, hardware bring-up, and board-level integration.
- Scripting skills for automation (Tcl, Python).
