FPGA Digital Design Engineer (m/f/d)
Role Summary
The FPGA Digital Design Engineer will develop and validate FPGA-based prototypes to support System-on-Chip (SoC) digital design and bring-up. The role sits in the Digital Design team and works closely with firmware, software and toolchain stakeholders to enable HW/SW integration and platform validation.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include implementing, validating and documenting FPGA prototypes used for SoC development and integration.
- Design and implement FPGA prototypes for SoC projects.
- RTL design, apply timing constraints and perform synthesis for FPGA targets.
- Verify FPGA designs and perform HW/SW co-validation on FPGA platforms.
- Debug hardware/software functional issues on FPGA platforms and support system bring-up.
- Collaborate with firmware, software, toolchain and other cross-functional teams.
- Document FPGA platforms and usage for other SoC functions and teams.
- Work on security-related tasks as required; follow security-conscious development and documentation practices.
Requirements
Core technical skills and professional traits expected for effective performance in the role.
Must-have:
- Basic programming knowledge (e.g., C, Assembly).
- Basic knowledge of RTL design; Verilog/SystemVerilog preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, with analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have / Advantage:
- Practical experience with FPGAs and FPGA toolchains.
- Basic circuit and PCB design knowledge.
- Familiarity with computer architecture, microcontrollers and bus protocols.
Education Requirements
University degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
