FPGA Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work with the FPGA verification team in the Digital IP group to develop and execute verification tasks for next-generation FPGA products, with emphasis on high-speed transceivers and Ethernet protocols. The role supports verification activities, debugging, documentation, and team collaboration to deliver quality IP/products on schedule.
Experience Level
Entry-level (internship program / early-career). Targeted at candidates at the start of their career, typically students or recent graduates.
Responsibilities
Contribute to verification and debugging efforts for FPGA transceiver and protocol IP; communicate results and maintain project documentation.
- Support verification tasks for current and upcoming projects and methodology initiatives.
- Help develop and implement verification and debugging solutions and testbenches.
- Document technical specifications and maintain organized project records.
- Collaborate with verification team members to improve workflows and methodologies.
- Prepare and present progress updates and findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
Key technical and professional requirements; items under "Nice-to-have" are preferred but not mandatory.
- Must-have: Familiarity with HDL languages such as VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
- Must-have: Experience or working knowledge of scripting (Tcl, Perl, or Python).
- Must-have: Ability to work in a team, good verbal and written communication skills, and a strong willingness to learn.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to FPGA tool flows (Quartus or Vivado).
- Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to high-speed design challenges, transceiver or Ethernet protocol verification.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering with a specialization in VLSI (required for the internship/ACE program role).
