Senior-level β typically 10+ years of relevant experience (senior/lead engineering role).
Responsibilities
Deliver technical leadership and hands-on design work across the FPGA development lifecycle:
- Lead and develop a team of FPGA designers; provide technical oversight and mentoring.
- Translate high-level requirements into micro-architecture and detailed design.
- Own RTL coding, synthesis flow, and creation of basic test benches.
- Perform digital simulation, timing analysis, and clock-domain crossing design.
- Conduct lab bring-up, debug, and problem resolution for hardware and FPGA designs.
- Support product integration, sustainment, and legacy design maintenance.
Requirements
Must-have skills, security/clearance expectations, and technical tools:
- Eligible to obtain U.S. security clearance (Top Secret preferred); U.S. person / U.S. citizenship required.
- Extensive FPGA or ASIC design and development experience; experience leading design teams.
- Proficient in VHDL (preferred) or Verilog HDL; RTL coding and synthesis experience.
- Experience with Xilinx Vivado/ISE or Intel/Altera Quartus toolflows.
- Digital simulation using ModelSim/Questa and timing-driven design skills.
- Strong lab debug, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with high-speed interfaces (PCIe, SerDes, ADC/DAC, DDR3/4) and clock domain crossing.
- Familiarity with revision control systems (Git, CVS, ClearCase, Subversion) and scripting (Tcl/Tk, UNIX/Linux shell).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with DSP fundamentals and FPGA implementation, UVM/SystemVerilog, Matlab/Simulink.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Perl, or Python for verification and tooling.
- Active security clearance is a plus.
