Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead and grow a high-performance FPGA/silicon engineering team; recruit, mentor, and develop talent.
  • Assign work, manage schedules, and ensure on-time delivery against milestones.
  • Drive technical architecture and conduct hands-on design reviews for Verilog/FPGA implementations.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts and external partners to integrate IP and validate high-speed protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, USB).
  • Provide technical support to internal customers and resolve escalated engineering issues.
  • Establish engineering best practices, debugging methodologies, and design-of-experiments to improve product quality.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams in a technical organization.
  • Hands-on FPGA Verilog design experience and familiarity with AMD/Xilinx toolchains and technologies.
  • Practical experience with designs involving high-speed protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB.
  • Strong system and software engineering background with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to summarize complex problems for executives and drill into details with architects and engineers.
  • Self-starter capable of operating in distributed teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Proven mentoring/coaching experience and prior experience forming or scaling technical teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
