Role Summary
Design and verify FPGA and ASIC solutions for fuzing electronics used in Department of Defense weapon systems. Work on RTL architecture, verification, and embedded microcontroller software in a tightly integrated hardware-software team.

Responsibilities
Primary activities expected in this role:
- Define architecture and implement RTL for FPGA and ASIC designs using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Develop and execute verification environments and testbenches (UVM and SystemVerilog-based verification).
- Write and maintain microcontroller firmware and utilities in C# for board support and test.
- Perform synthesis, timing closure, and work with tools flow to prepare designs for silicon/FPGA implementation.
- Support lab bring-up, hardware bring-up testing, and debug of embedded systems.
- Collaborate with systems, firmware, and test engineers; participate in design reviews and documentation.
- Produce clear technical documentation, requirements traceability, and verification reports.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Hands-on FPGA/ASIC design experience with Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience creating and running verification environments using UVM or similar methodologies.
- Practical experience with RTL design, synthesis, timing analysis, and tool flows.
- Experience developing microcontroller software or test tools in C# or equivalent.
- Strong problem solving, debugging, and communication skills in an interdisciplinary team.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with defense or other high-reliability embedded systems and related compliance/testing processes.
- Familiarity with hardware bring-up, lab instrumentation, and production test flows.
