Foundry Solutions Architect - IGT

Role Summary

Drive technical customer engagement and solution adoption for Intel Foundry Services in support of U.S. Government and defense customers. Act as a technical lead across sales, engineering, and business teams to design, validate, and deliver secure semiconductor solutions aligned with mission requirements.

This role sits in the Government Technology Group and combines customer-facing solution architecture, proposal development, and cross-functional coordination to move opportunities from qualification through contract and delivery.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Requires 7+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor design, foundry services, technical sales, solutions engineering, business development, or comparable customer-facing technical roles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership across the sales cycle, solution design, and market development for government-focused foundry offerings.

  • Partner with customers and business development to design tailored Intel Foundry solutions.
  • Support the full sales cycle from engagement through delivery and contract close.
  • Provide technical leadership in presentations, demonstrations, and solution-design discussions.
  • Develop proposals, reference architectures, and proof-of-concept solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate feasibility and optimize designs.
  • Drive competitive positioning, pricing inputs, and negotiation support.
  • Produce technical documentation, implementation roadmaps, and risk-mitigation plans.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities; maintain accurate pipeline and forecasts in CRM.
  • Develop technical collateral and represent Intel as a subject-matter expert at industry events.

Requirements

Must-have technical and clearance requirements; preferred items listed as nice-to-have.

  • Must-have: U.S. Citizenship.
  • Must-have: Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • Must-have: 7+ years of experience in semiconductor design, foundry services, technical sales, solutions engineering, business development, or other customer-facing technical roles.
  • Must-have: Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes, design flows, and foundry business models.
  • Must-have: Experience with advanced process nodes (7nm and below), chiplets, and advanced packaging.
  • Must-have: Experience with EDA tools, PDKs, and modern design methodologies.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience supporting U.S. Government or Defense Industrial Base customers and familiarity with federal contracting and procurement processes.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience translating technical concepts into customer value propositions and developing sales/market collateral.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior work closely aligned with business development, sales, or marketing organizations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required. A postgraduate degree in a related field is preferred. Qualifications may also be satisfied through a combination of relevant industry experience, internships, coursework, or research (equivalent practical experience).
