Foundry Product Marketing Director
Role Summary
Lead Synopsys' engagement with foundry partners to align IP roadmaps, process intelligence, and customer demand. Serve as the primary liaison between product, sales, and foundries to translate foundry roadmaps and PDK changes into product strategy and schedules.
Based in Taipei, this role coordinates test-chip planning, tape-out schedules, and foundry-specific presentations used across sales and product teams.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with direct foundry exposure; leadership experience in product, marketing, or business development is expected.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include coordinating foundry relationships, translating process changes, and aligning IP availability with customer timelines:
- Act as primary contact between Synopsys product/sales teams and foundry partners for IP availability, node roadmaps, and PDK updates.
- Build and maintain relationships with foundry business development teams (TSMC, Samsung, Intel Foundry, etc.) to enable rapid information flow and coordinated customer meetings.
- Collect, assess, and distribute foundry roadmaps, process changes, and PDK updates; translate technical shifts into product and schedule implications.
- Maintain live dashboards of foundry intelligence, IP roadmaps by node, and foundry-specific materials for sales and product teams.
- Coordinate test chip positioning and tape-out schedules, aligning IP roadmaps with customer demand and foundry capacity.
- Present at foundry seminars and customer meetings, representing Synopsys IP positioning across applications (HPC, AI, IoT, automotive, consumer).
Requirements
Minimum qualifications and preferred skills.

Must-have: 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with direct foundry exposure or deep foundry business development relationships.

Must-have: 3+ years in marketing, product management, or business development with responsibility for strategy, roadmaps, or partner engagement.

Must-have: Deep technical knowledge of semiconductor process technology (nodes, PDKs, foundry differences) and ability to translate technical issues into business/product impact.

Must-have: Strong presentation and communication skills; experience briefing executives, product managers, foundry partners, and sales teams.

Must-have: Excellent organizational skills to manage dashboards, roadmaps, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.

Must-have: Fluency in English and ability to work in Taipei for regional foundry engagement.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; graduate degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
