Foundry Product Engineer
Role Summary
The Foundry Product Engineer ensures manufacturing stability and production readiness for high-volume semiconductor products by collaborating with design, test development, quality, manufacturing teams and foundry suppliers.
This on-site role in Seoul focuses on resolving yield and process issues, driving continuous improvement with foundry partners, and maintaining production performance and supply continuity.
Experience Level
Senior β typically requires 8+ years of foundry or semiconductor industry experience.
Responsibilities
Focus on production readiness, manufacturability, and supplier coordination.
- Analyze product performance, yield data, foundry e-test results, and operational metrics to identify and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Lead cross-functional taskforces to address supplier issues, customer returns, and supply-chain disruptions.
- Evaluate manufacturing windows and process capability to optimize production efficiency and yield.
- Collaborate with foundry suppliers to manage process excursions, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage disposition of high-volume production material after yield testing and support quality events.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience to perform the role.
- 8+ years of foundry industry experience with a history of managing foundry suppliers.
- Proficiency in yield and data analysis (test data logs, DFT, diagnosis) and foundry e-test interpretation.
- Strong process manufacturing knowledge for advanced technology nodes and experience managing supplier relationships for those nodes.
- Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to lead and independently resolve quality events.
- Fluency in Korean and English; strong presentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Seoul and participate in cross-functional projects.
- Nice-to-have: demonstrated leadership in manufacturability improvements, cost optimization, and complex project management.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a semiconductor-related field, or equivalent practical experience as defined by business needs.
