Job Title
Foundation IP Memory Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Member of the Central Engineering Group responsible for verification and validation of foundation IP used in AI products, including memory compilers, custom memory macros, logic cells and related characterization flows.
The role focuses on transistor-level and behavioral verification, signal-integrity and EM/IR analysis, automation of verification flows, and silicon debug correlation.
Experience Level
Entry-level. The posting specifies a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include verification, analysis, automation, and coordination to ensure memory IP meet functional, timing and reliability targets.
- Perform functional verification and root-cause analysis for custom memory macros and memory compilers.
- Run transistor-level simulations to validate power-up, lock-up, timing and internal margins.
- Perform signal integrity, EM/IR and reliability analysis and evaluate impact on timing and margins.
- Execute QA and validation checks to ensure accurate timing and power models.
- Develop scripts and automation to streamline verification flows and data analysis.
- Support silicon debug and correlate silicon behavior to SPICE models.
- Collaborate with memory designers, modelling leads and managers to define and execute memory validation plans.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; plus concise list of desirable skills.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience with transistor-level simulation and circuit-level verification of memories or similar analog/mixed-signal blocks.
-
Must-have: Experience with signal integrity and EM/IR analysis and interpreting their impact on timing and margins.
-
Must-have: Proficiency using circuit simulators and writing automation scripts to support verification flows.
-
Must-have: Experience supporting silicon debug and correlating silicon results to models.
-
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with memory behavioral and physical modelling.
-
Nice-to-have: Expertise in memory circuit design, DFT schemes and chip-level integration.
-
Nice-to-have: Strong communication, interpersonal and coordination skills; ability to work across teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering is specified. The posting requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
