Job Title
Foundation IP Memory Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Central Engineering Group to develop and validate foundation IP for AI products, including memory compilers, logic cells and custom memory macros. The role focuses on verification, characterization, and silicon debug to ensure memory IP meets timing, power, signal integrity, and reliability targets.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early Career β minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform functional verification and root-cause analysis for custom memory macros and memory compilers.
- Run transistor-level simulations to validate timing, power-up behavior, and identify lock-up or timing characterization issues.
- Perform signal integrity, EM/IR analysis and evaluate impacts on timing and internal margins.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for verification flows and data analysis.
- Support silicon bring-up, debug failures and correlate silicon behavior to SPICE/models.
- Conduct QA and validation checks to ensure accurate timing and power models.
- Collaborate with memory designers, modelling leads and managers to define and execute memory validation plans.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
-
Must-have: 2+ years in memory validation or related verification roles; hands-on experience with functional verification and transistor-level simulation.
-
Must-have: Experience with EM/IR and signal integrity analysis and familiarity with interpreting effects on timing and margins.
-
Must-have: Proficiency with simulation tools and scripting to automate verification flows and data analysis.
-
Must-have: Experience supporting silicon debug and correlating silicon results to models and simulations.
-
Nice-to-have: Understanding of memory behavioral and physical models; expertise in memory circuit design.
-
Nice-to-have: Knowledge of DFT schemes and chip-level integration.
-
Nice-to-have: Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering is required; the posting specifies a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
