Formal Verification Student (Intern)
Role Summary
Join Intel's Core Hardware Design Verification team in Haifa to help develop formal verification tools, automation and test environments for pre-silicon CPU verification. The role supports verification flows used across desktop, notebook, server and cloud products.
This is a part-time, on-site student internship focused on tool development, scripting and collaboration with verification, architecture and software teams.
Experience Level
Entry-level — Student/Intern. No prior professional experience required; intended for current undergraduate students.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on creating and maintaining tools and environments for formal verification.
- Develop and maintain formal verification tools, test environments and automation.
- Implement scripts and utilities (Python, shell, Tcl/Perl) to support verification flows.
- Integrate and run pre-silicon verification setups within a Linux environment.
- Collaborate with verification, architecture and software teams to define and execute verification tasks.
- Investigate and debug verification failures and improve verification methodologies.

- Must-have: Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week and ability to work on-site in Haifa.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Python and other scripting languages (Tcl, Perl).
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with a Linux working environment.
- Problem-solving ability and aptitude for working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a closely related field; minimum of three semesters remaining until graduation (student/intern status required).
