Formal Verification Engineer - New College Graduate

Role Summary

Entry-level formal verification engineer on the Hardware Verification team. The role focuses on applying state-of-the-art formal verification methodologies to complex digital designs, IP blocks and SoCs.

Primary mission is to develop and execute robust verification plans, work with design teams to verify RTL, and coordinate with verification peers to achieve closure on verification goals.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate. Suitable for candidates starting their careers; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Learn and apply formal verification methodologies and tools.
  • Develop robust verification plans for assigned designs or IP blocks.
  • Apply formal techniques to verify complex digital designs and SoCs.
  • Execute verification plans by collaborating closely with design teams.
  • Coordinate with other verification engineers to drive issues to closure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of abstraction techniques for effective verification.
  • Hands-on experience with HDLs such as Verilog or SystemVerilog.
  • Ability to read and understand RTL quickly.
  • Understanding of temporal logic assertions.

Education Requirements

B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
