Formal Verification Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
Formal Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Work on formal verification of GPU clocking RTL within the GPU clocks group. The team architects, designs and validates clocking logic and collaborates with frontend designers and backend teams to meet functional and physical constraints.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 3+ years of ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Execute formal verification activities to validate clocking RTL and support the design team through verification sign-off.
- Write formal verification test plans and implement them using formal techniques (assumptions, assertions, cover properties).
- Develop abstractions to manage complexity and achieve full or bounded proofs with sufficient coverage.
- Debug RTL to identify root causes of failures and complete coverage sign-off.
- Drive and tune formal tools for performance and contribute to verification flows and scripts to improve team efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and cross-functional teams to ensure deliverable quality.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for the role.
- 3+ years of ASIC verification experience, with a focus on formal verification.
- Knowledge of formal methodologies and tools (examples: JasperGold, VC Formal).
- Ability to implement abstraction techniques for effective formal verification.
- Proficient scripting skills (TCL, Perl, Python).
- Familiarity with verification methodology, tools and flows at Unit / Sub-system / SoC level.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for distributed-team environments.
