Formal Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA Networking's pre-silicon design and verification team in Beer Sheva to apply formal verification techniques to NIC designs. The team focuses on CPU interfaces and offload solutions for HPC, data-center, networking, and storage markets.

The role uses formal algorithms and methodologies to prove correctness of complex logic, working closely with designers and verification engineers to enable successful tapeouts.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities involve applying formal methods to verify hardware designs and collaborating with the pre-silicon engineering team.

• Use formal verification algorithms and tools to prove correctness of complex digital logic.
• Collaborate with pre-silicon design and verification teams to define verification goals and strategies.
• Analyze and debug verification failures; identify root causes and propose fixes or design/verification improvements.
• Contribute to verification methodology development and reuse across projects.
• Share findings and verification results with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and interpersonal abilities.

• 1–3 years of relevant verification or engineering experience.
• Excellent analytical, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong debugging and analytical abilities for hardware designs.
• Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience applying formal verification techniques or tools.
• Knowledge of digital logic and hardware implementation details.
• Familiarity with communication protocols used in high-performance networking.

Education Requirements

BSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering, MSc in Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
