Firmware Engineer

Role Summary

Join the NIC Firmware Core team in Beer Sheva to design, implement, verify and optimize low-level firmware for next-generation NVIDIA network adapters. The role covers firmware design, micro-architecture, software interfaces and verification across feature development and release.

Work closely with firmware, software and architecture teams to deliver firmware used in cloud and high-performance computing environments.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” 0–3 years of professional experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include development, verification and cross-team collaboration on low-level firmware for network adapters.

  • Design, develop, test, debug and optimize low-level firmware up to package release.
  • Integrate and debug firmware within verification environments.
  • Collaborate with firmware, software and architecture teams to analyze and debug firmware flows.
  • Improve team processes and implement automation and new methodologies.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes required for the role.

  • Programming knowledge in C/C++.
  • Ability to work on low-level firmware, including design, micro-architecture, interfaces and verification.
  • Good teamwork, responsibility and self-motivation.

Nice-to-have:

  • Background in networking.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
