Firmware Engineer

Role Summary

Join the NIC Firmware team in Yokneam to design and implement networking firmware features for cloud, HPC and storage products. Work spans pre- and post-silicon environments and includes feature implementation, verification, and system-level debugging across HW/FW/SW boundaries.

Experience Level

Entry-level (1+ years professional experience).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with architecture and software design teams to define and implement firmware features.
  • Develop and implement new features in core NIC firmware for pre- and post-silicon environments.
  • Create and run verification tests for advanced features within a complex firmware testing environment.
  • Diagnose and debug system-level issues across networking stacks and HW/FW/SW interactions.
  • Participate in software project lifecycle activities: maintenance, qualification, and release processes.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 1+ years of professional experience in firmware or software development.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills.
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and good interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of network protocols.
  • Experience with real-time programming.
  • Familiarity with storage protocols.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
