Firmware Developer
Role Summary
Develop safety-critical low-level firmware for ARM V7/V8 SoC platforms as part of a system software team in Hyderabad. Work spans implementation, integration, verification, and collaboration with hardware and verification teams to meet safety integrity requirements.

Responsibilities
The role focuses on design, implementation, and verification of firmware and safety-critical software and on integration within the system software stack.
- Develop low-level firmware in C and assembly for ARM V7/V8 architecture-based SoC systems.
- Integrate safety-critical software into the system software stack while addressing performance, freedom-from-interference, and multicore concerns.
- Design and verify software to meet required safety integrity levels and produce documentary evidence for safety assessments.
- Collaborate closely with hardware design teams to clarify requirements and resolve implementation issues.
- Independently implement code and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements are satisfied.
- Perform debugging, analysis, and verification; report results, issues, risks, and progress to management.
Requirements

Must-have:
- Proficiency in C and assembly language for embedded systems.
- Experience with FPGA- and SoC-based systems.
- Good understanding of ARM V7/V8 architectures and bus protocols (AXI, AHB) and common peripherals.
- Hands-on experience designing and developing embedded software including drivers, BSP, boot code, and bootloaders.
- Familiarity with system software stacks such as Linux or VxWorks and with hypervisors.
- Strong debugging and analysis skills and experience with software development and verification tools and environments.
- Effective verbal and written communication and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with specific Cortex processors (A53, R5, A72).
- Familiarity with peripherals/protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, USB, SD, and memory controllers.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent academic qualification or equivalent practical experience.
