Field Application Engineer SIP

Role Summary

Provide technical field support for semiconductor and microcontroller products to drive customer design-ins, pre- and post-sales activities, and system-level evaluations. Work directly with customers and internal product teams to qualify opportunities, resolve integration issues, and recommend solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify technical sales opportunities and assist in responses to technical requests for proposal.
  • Travel approximately 30–40% within North America for training and customer meetings.

Requirements

Key technical skills and practical experience required to perform the role.

  • Hands-on RF test equipment experience: spectrum analyzer for Tx/Rx and vector network analyzer (VNA) for element characterization.
  • Programming and scripting: Python and C; comfortable working in Linux environments.
  • Data handling experience, including working with CSV files and test data.
  • Experience with software and hardware in DSP, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and ZigBee systems.
  • Embedded microprocessor system design and digital signal processing experience.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques and wireless network EM-field modeling.
  • Customer-facing communication skills and the ability to support technical evaluations and troubleshoot field issues.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or foreign equivalent). The posting also references experience gained via graduate-level coursework, internships, or equivalent practical experience as acceptable background.
