Role Summary

Field-facing technical role responsible for driving adoption and successful deployment of Siemens EDA proFPGA solutions within assigned accounts. The role partners with Sales, Product, Support, and Services to lead technical sales activities, evaluations, and customer deployments.

Works across customer engineering and management levels to translate technical outcomes into business value and to mentor other Field Application Engineers.

Experience Level

Senior-level expectation — typically requires approximately 5+ years of relevant experience (posting specifies 5+ years or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership in customer engagements and ensuring successful evaluations and deployments.

• Build trusted relationships with engineering and management stakeholders at customer sites.
• Lead technical discovery to understand customer requirements, design flows, and competitive challenges.
• Deliver technical presentations and demonstrations of Siemens EDA solutions and cross-platform value.
• Lead technical aspects of sales campaigns, evaluations, pilot projects, and value positioning.
• Coordinate cross‑functional resources across Sales, Product, Support, and Services for successful execution.
• Drive product adoption by defining methodologies, optimizing workflows, and supporting deployments.
• Translate technical outcomes into business value and advise on solution configuration and licensing.
• Support customers through deployment challenges to ensure long-term success and satisfaction.
• Mentor and train other Field Application Engineers and contribute to team enablement.
• Maintain current expertise on Siemens EDA solutions and competitive technologies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and qualifications for the role.

• Strong understanding of customer design flows and the ability to map Siemens EDA solutions to optimize those workflows.
• Proficiency with EDA tools, methodologies, and design environments.
• Experience extending or integrating tools via scripting, APIs, or environment configuration.
• Ability to articulate and position cross‑platform and cross‑portfolio solutions to address customer challenges.
• Knowledge of competitive EDA environments and ability to differentiate solutions based on technical value.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Proven ability to build customer relationships and collaborate cross‑functionally to drive evaluations and deployments.
• Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
• Must meet U.S. export-control requirements: verify U.S. Person status or be able to obtain required export authorization (ITAR/EAR).

Education Requirements
