Job Title

Field Application Engineer - PowerPro

Role Summary

Customer-facing Field Application Engineer supporting the PowerPro platform for RTL and gate-level power analysis and optimization. Work with semiconductor customers to lead evaluations, deployments, and adoption of PowerPro while collaborating with sales, R&D, and product teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting specifies 3+ years of RTL (ASIC/FPGA) design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focused on pre-sales technical support, driving customer evaluations, and enabling product adoption.

  • Partner with sales to define and execute technical strategies aligned to customer needs.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops.
  • Lead evaluations and proof-of-concepts to drive business wins.
  • Support deployment and adoption of PowerPro across customer teams, including debugging and training.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical support and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product teams to influence product enhancements.
  • Participate in face-to-face customer meetings; travel up to ~20% may be required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and competencies.

  • Strong RTL design experience with Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL.
  • Knowledge of digital design, static timing analysis (STA), synthesis, and verification flows.
  • Understanding of coding styles for synthesis and simulation.
  • Experience with RTL power analysis and optimization methodologies.
  • Scripting skills: Tcl and Python.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; customer-facing aptitude.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with power tools (e.g., PrimePower, PowerArtist, or similar).
  • Knowledge of low-power methodologies (UPF/CPF).
  • Prior FAE/AE or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Exposure to advanced SoC designs and advanced process nodes.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (BS/MS).
