Field Application Engineer - HAV

Role Summary

Work directly with customers as part of the sales team to deploy and validate Siemens EDA emulation hardware and software, ensuring technical milestones are met.

Provide technical support, run product evaluations, present solutions, and relay technical feedback to product and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include customer-facing deployment, technical support, and collaboration with sales and R&D teams.

• Deploy and integrate emulation software and hardware at customer sites.
• Drive technical product evaluations and ensure customer milestones are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during evaluations and deployments.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations on product features and updates.
• Provide in-depth technical feedback and product ideas to emulation product development teams.
• Collaborate with sales, account teams, R&D, and marketing to identify business opportunities and product requirements.
• Design and develop software components across platforms (emulation, native-accelerated, QEMU/AFM, SystemC) and integrate software and hardware components.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and competencies.

• Strong experience in C/C++ programming.
• Basic knowledge of digital circuits and digital design/systems.
• Proven communication skills and ability to present technical ideas to customers and internal teams.
• Ability to work through design, development, and testing cycles and collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice-to-have:

• RTL development / Verilog
• Scripting (Python, Perl, Shell, Tcl)
• SystemC experience
• Embedded software development with RTOS (e.g., QNX)
• Linux experience
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 safety standard

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
