Role Summary

Work as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and R&D for Siemens EDA's Aprisa Place & Route offering. Support customer evaluations, drive product adoption, and help shape technical sales processes as part of the India-based field team.

Responsibilities

Provide technical sales support and run customer engagements to demonstrate and benchmark Place & Route capabilities.

• Act as primary technical liaison between customers, sales, and R&D for Aprisa and Place & Route solutions.
• Run technical evaluations, benchmarking, and proof-of-concept engagements to demonstrate product capabilities and ROI.
• Guide customers through RTL-to-GDS flows: floor planning, placement, CTS, routing, signal/power integrity, and static timing analysis.
• Collaborate with marketing, R&D, sales, technical support, and customer experience teams to resolve complex customer issues.
• Document technical findings, customer interactions, and project outcomes to share knowledge across the team.
• Travel to customer sites as needed and balance remote work with face-to-face engagement.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Place & Route tools (examples: Aprisa, Innovus, IC Compiler).
• Demonstrated expertise in RTL-to-GDS flows at advanced nodes, including tape-outs or P&R evaluations and benchmarking.
• Expert-level scripting skills (TCL, Unix/command-line) and practical familiarity with Verilog and UPF formats.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions with diverse customers.
• Customer-focused, ROI-oriented approach to prioritize technical engagements.
• Ability to collaborate across distributed teams and produce clear technical documentation.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Nice-to-have: prior applications engineering or IC design experience specific to advanced node P&R.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, VLSI Design, or a related technical field.
