Job Title

Field Application Engineer

Role Summary

Provide technical selling and post-sale support for Siemens' Verification IP (VIP) portfolio. Work with customers to define evaluations, benchmark criteria, and technical campaigns that align with customer production flows and business opportunities.

Collaborate with account managers to execute sales strategies, ensure customer success with VIP solutions, and deliver high-quality technical support. Hybrid role; may telecommute from a commutable distance.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” approximately 2 years of relevant experience (employer specifies 24 months of experience accepted).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on technical evaluation, support, and enabling customer adoption of Verification IP.

  • Identify and qualify customer engagements and technical opportunities for VIP evaluations.
  • Define and execute evaluation and benchmarking criteria tailored to customer production flows.
  • Run technical campaigns and demonstrations to support sales goals.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for VIP usage, including simulation and debug workflows.
  • Develop and maintain regression scripts and reproducible test cases to validate VIP functionality.
  • Coordinate with account managers and internal teams to drive customer adoption and satisfaction.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

  • Experience with one or more high-speed interface protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, USB, CXL, or UCIe.
  • Experience using controllers for high-speed interface protocols.
  • Proficiency coding in Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog and using UVM.
  • Ability to write SystemVerilog assertions (SVA).
  • Experience developing regression scripts and debugging simulation failures.
  • Experience using EDA software for functional verification, including simulators and debuggers.

Education Requirements

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 24 months of experience in this role or a related Field Application Engineer occupation.
