Role Summary

Design RTL for CPU-based SoC blocks and deliver production-quality front-end implementations. Work with architecture leads and cross-functional teams to define microarchitecture, implement RTL, integrate IP, and ensure timing, power, and functional correctness through synthesis and verification.

Experience Level

Entry-level - posting requires approximately 2 years of relevant experience in RTL design and verification.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include end-to-end front-end block design, integration, and validation.

• Work with leads and architecture teams to define block microarchitecture.
• Develop RTL (SystemVerilog/Verilog) for one or more SoC blocks and own RTL deliverables.
• Integrate shared digital and analog IP; optimize memories and hard macros for the block.
• Perform front-end synthesis and static timing analysis to meet timing targets.
• Optimize designs for power and performance.
• Use industry standard simulation tools to verify and debug block- and system-level behavior.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to incorporate design checks and meet schedules.
• Validate and debug silicon functionality during chip bring-up.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful candidates.

• ~2 years experience writing RTL using SystemVerilog or Verilog for CPU-based SoCs.
• Experience with CDC tools/techniques and multiple clock domains.
• RTL design experience with AMBA protocols (for example, AHB).
• Experience using industry-standard simulation tools for verification and debug.
• Experience configuring and integrating digital and analog IP into an SoC or sub-system.
• Ability to analyze timing and resolve timing violations at digital-analog interfaces.
• Experience using LINT tools to ensure RTL coding quality.
• Experience validating and debugging system silicon during chip bring-up.

Education Requirements

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required per the posting; the role specifies 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
