FC PV Internship – AI Driven Runtime Validation

Role Summary

Internship on the Platform Validation (PV) team focused on developing an AI-agent framework to automate Fusion Compiler runtime validation. The role involves building automation, monitoring, and analysis pipelines to transform manual validation workflows into an always-on system.

This is an 8-week, in-office internship in Hsinchu, working with R&D and validation engineers to prototype and deliver production-relevant automation and AI solutions.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Targeted at current graduate students (Master's level); penultimate-year candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

The intern will contribute to design, implementation, and integration of AI-driven runtime validation features and automation tools.

• Design and implement a multi-AI-agent framework for end-to-end runtime validation (extraction, detection, triage, narrowing, rebuild, validation).
• Develop agentic workflows using hybrid architectures (CLI agents, SDK-based agents) to automate validation tasks.
• Build monitoring and analysis pipelines to process large-scale runtime logs across RTL-to-GDS stages (FCFE, FCBE, CTS, COPT, ROPT, FOPT).
• Apply AI methods for regression detection, anomaly identification, and root-cause narrowing to reduce turnaround time.
• Implement automation tools and infrastructure primarily in Python; integrate with existing tracking systems and dashboards.
• Collaborate with R&D and validation engineers to align solutions with customer workflows and production use cases.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for contributing effectively during the internship.

• Strong interest in AI/ML, agent systems, automation, and software infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with scripting, data analysis, or AI frameworks is a plus.
• Experience or aptitude for building monitoring/analysis pipelines and working with large log datasets.
• Basic familiarity with software integration (issue tracking, dashboards) and common scripting languages (Tcl, C/C++, shell) is beneficial.
• Curiosity, problem-solving ability, and effective communication/presentation skills.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (penultimate year preferred). Equivalent relevant academic progress or practical experience also applicable.
