Job Title
Experienced Reliability Engineer
Role Summary
Ensure the reliability, quality and performance of advanced semiconductor devices by applying reliability engineering methods, data analysis, and root cause analysis. Partner with operations, process engineering, technology development and suppliers to reduce reliability risks and improve manufacturing robustness.
Experience Level
Mid-level β 3β7+ years of experience in reliability engineering, process integration, or device engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on reliability strategy, data-driven analysis, and corrective action execution.
- Develop, implement and sustain reliability strategies and stress tests (preventive, predictive, condition-based).
- Apply FMEA, Weibull/Lognormal and other statistical analyses and reliability degradation/improvement modeling.
- Define reliability requirements for new processes/devices and support qualification and early assessment activities.
- Analyze reliability stress data, failure modes, and maintenance history to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead root cause analysis for chronic and high-impact failures and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Track and report key reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR, availability, OEE) and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Support process technology engagements, tool installation/qualification and production ramp activities.
- Develop and maintain reliability standards, documentation, and lessons-learned; contribute to training and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and demonstrated experience.
- 3β7+ years in reliability engineering, process integration, or device engineering.
- Strong understanding of reliability engineering concepts, failure mechanisms and maintenance strategies.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, JMP, Minitab, Python or Excel.
- Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in semiconductor processing or other high-volume, high-reliability manufacturing environments (preferred).
- Familiarity with automated measurement tools, complex wafer probing systems and data automation (preferred).
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and advanced reliability modeling techniques (preferred).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field) required. Master's degree in engineering or related technical field is preferred.
