Job Title
Experienced Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer
Role Summary
This role develops millimeter-wave analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for coherent applications. The engineer will work on SiGe and silicon ICs operating above 30 GHz through architecture, design, layout, measurement and productization.
Experience Level
Mid-level (experienced IC designer; specific years not stated).
Responsibilities
The principal design engineer will lead IC design activities from concept to product release and support downstream integration and customer needs.
- Take ICs from concept through architecture, design, verification, layout and productization.
- Perform schematic design, layout and hands-on laboratory characterization of high-frequency ICs.
- Design and optimize millimeter-wave circuits for coherent applications (frequencies >30 GHz).
- Manage project tasks, timelines and technical tradeoffs.
- Collaborate with test, application and product teams and provide customer support as needed.
Requirements
Key qualifications and technical skills required or strongly expected.
-
Must-have: Proven experience designing SiGe and silicon-based analog/mixed-signal ICs, including schematic, layout and measurement.
-
Must-have: Experience with millimeter-wave design and verification at frequencies above 30 GHz.
-
Must-have: Hands-on laboratory experience characterizing high-frequency ICs and debugging test results.
-
Must-have: Experience taking designs through productization and cross-functional integration.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with coherent RF systems, customer-facing support, and project management.
