Ethernet Software Developer - AVB/TSN

Role Summary

Develop embedded Ethernet software focused on AVB (Audio Video Bridging) and TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) for automotive and industrial applications. The role works with R&D teams in Roznov and Brno to architect, implement, optimize and verify software that interoperates with NXP hardware.

The position involves translating customer requirements into system designs, performing software/hardware benchmarking and ensuring solutions meet product quality and security expectations.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include design, implementation, and verification of embedded AVB/TSN software and collaboration with hardware and product teams.

• Design and develop embedded AVB and TSN software components.
• Gather and analyze customer-specific requirements and translate them into software requirements.
• Architect system-level solutions and define interfaces with hardware.
• Perform software–hardware optimization and benchmarking.
• Specify features for new device releases in cooperation with device teams.
• Perform testing, verification, and validation of embedded software.
• Adhere to NXP software quality and security standards.

Requirements

• Must-have: Embedded software development experience in C.
• Must-have: Good English and communication skills; attention to detail and decisiveness.
• Desirable: Experience with embedded real-time operating systems or Linux.
• Desirable: Familiarity with scripting (Perl, Python) and build tools such as make.
• Other: Flexibility to travel as required.

Education Requirements

University degree expected: Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related technical field.
