Job Title

Engineering Technician

Role Summary

Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, upgrades and installation of high-end ATE tester systems and associated support equipment in a semiconductor test environment. Interface with engineering and manufacturing teams to diagnose and resolve equipment issues and maintain tool performance.

Position supports test-floor operations on a swing/night schedule and focuses on both hardware and software support of tester systems.

Experience Level

Entry-level. No specific years of prior professional experience required beyond the minimum qualifications listed.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, upgrades, and installations for ATE tester systems and support equipment.
  • Maintain and support tester software and related system software.
  • Provide customer-service-style support to engineering and test-floor personnel.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data; implement improvements to meet process requirements and reduce repeat failures.
  • Coordinate supplier service and repairs when required.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommended solutions to technical problems.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

  • Must-have: Strong computer skills including networking, Windows, and Linux; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Troubleshooting experience with electrical and mechanical systems; self-driven with initiative to identify and resolve equipment issues; strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Additional: Ability to work effectively in teams, manage time to meet project deadlines, and operate in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Associate's degree in a technical electronics or computer science–related field, or equivalent Military Electronics training (explicitly listed in the posting).
