Engineer, Yield Enhancement Laboratory
Role Summary
Investigate and resolve complex yield and technology issues for Micron's advanced memory products using electrical and physical failure analysis. Work in a lab environment to convert analytical findings into actionable yield and process improvements and support new technology introduction and high-volume manufacturing.
Collaborate with product engineering, design, process, yield, and R&D teams to identify failure mechanisms, enable design/process improvements, and improve manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include laboratory failure analysis, root-cause identification, and cross-functional collaboration to improve yield.
- Investigate and resolve complex yield, quality, and technology issues via electrical and physical failure analysis.
- Perform fault isolation and characterization using techniques such as EMMI, OBIRCH, thermal analysis, SEM, FIB, TEM, and nanoprobing.
- Apply semiconductor device physics and circuit/process knowledge to establish root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with Product Engineering, Design, Yield, Process Engineering, and R&D to identify design marginalities and process interactions affecting performance.
- Develop new analytical methodologies and innovative solutions for emerging challenges in advanced memory technologies.
- Support new technology introduction, yield ramp, product qualification, and high-volume manufacturing with timely technical insights.
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance analytical capability, cycle time, productivity, and engineering effectiveness.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights responsibly to improve efficiency and quality within the scope of work.
