Job Title

Engineer, Yield Enhancement

Role Summary

As a Yield Enhancement Engineer you will analyze inline, param, probe, and experiment data to identify processing and design issues that limit wafer yield. Work within fab yield teams to prioritize and communicate fixes, support technology transfer to production, and drive yield and quality improvements with fast, accurate analysis.

Experience Level

Mid-level. No specific years-of-experience stated.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include identifying yield limiters, coordinating fixes, and supporting cross-area problem solving.

  • Analyze yield and manufacturing data to identify root causes and yield limiters.
  • Use device physics and process knowledge to explain and resolve yield issues using statistical and data-analysis tools.
  • Communicate process/tool-related yield toggles to fab process areas and support remediation.
  • Lead or participate in multi-area focus teams to solve complex yield problems and publish clear Pareto analyses.
  • Support transfer of next-generation technology from R&D to production.
  • Collaborate with internal Yield Enhancement groups and other stakeholders to align constraints and actions.
  • Present findings clearly in meetings and documentation.
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools and share validated AI-enabled improvements that increase efficiency or quality.
