Engineer, TSE Probe Integration

Role Summary

The Engineer, TSE Probe Integration supports evaluation, installation, deployment, and optimization of probe test equipment across Micron manufacturing sites. The role partners with site equipment teams to deploy procedures, improve equipment performance, and support software and process implementations.

The position requires hands-on troubleshooting, process monitoring, and coordination across global sites to implement improvements and ensure reliable probe area operations.

Responsibilities

Key duties include equipment integration, process improvement, and cross-site support.

  • Evaluate, fix, install, and deploy probe FOAK/TOR equipment across manufacturing sites.
  • Develop and deploy best-known methods and address procedure gaps and equipment deficiencies.
  • Partner with HVM site equipment teams to implement new processes and technologies.
  • Monitor process efficiency and OEE; identify improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support probe equipment operating software and software release activities.
  • Evaluate new technologies and FOAK equipment to improve toolsets and operating methods.
  • Lead and mentor site equipment owners on SWAT projects and prioritize customer requests from HVM sites.
  • Diagnose probe-area equipment issues and implement effective solutions; travel domestically/internationally as required.
  • Follow and promote 6S, safety, PPE, lockout, chemical safety, ergonomic practices, and equipment operating procedures.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools, data analytics, and automation to improve troubleshooting, equipment performance, and engineering workflows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and capabilities for successful performance.

  • Practical experience with manufacturing probe procedures and probe test machinery.
  • Experience operating probe test equipment; familiarity with backend test equipment preferred.
  • Understanding of equipment mechanical and electrical fundamentals, including electronic circuits and equipment reliability.
  • Knowledge of equipment metrics (utilization, OEE, MTTR, MTBF) and related benchmarks.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and structured problem-solving tool use (e.g., KTDA, Risk Assessment, FMEA).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience with SQL query writing and SharePoint list management.
  • Good command of English with effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with probe program languages for memory device coding, SEC/GEM, GPIB, and information system communication protocols.
  • Ability to lead business processes across global networks and complete prioritized tactical and strategic action items.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience using Python.
  • Experience using AI-assisted analytics, reporting, or problem-solving tools.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience and education. Related technical degrees or equivalent practical experience are acceptable.
