Engineer, Test Process Development Engineering
Role Summary
Design and implement automated final-test processing solutions for semiconductor devices, modules and assemblies. Support internal Business Unit electrical test teams, Package Engineering, and global Test Process Engineering groups to develop standardized equipment and process improvements across ADI sites.
Based at the GTC site in Cavite supporting product development sites globally. Role requires occasional travel (~10%).

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include developing automation for semiconductor test, coordinating with stakeholders, and resolving process issues.
- Design, develop and implement automated final-test processing solutions (test handlers, contactors, manipulators, docking and automated inspection).
- Collaborate with Business Unit electrical test engineers and test equipment vendors to define and implement hardware and equipment solutions for new products.
- Coordinate process development with Test Process Engineering teams in US, Europe and Asia to standardize equipment and processes globally.
- Implement process improvements to existing test automation solutions to improve yield and throughput.
- Perform mechanical analysis as needed (CAD fit, mechanical and thermal simulations) when developing new solutions or improvements.
- Manage projects in a self-directed manner and troubleshoot quality/yield issues related to device handling, contacting or end-of-line inspection.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proficient interpreting technical drawings, including GD&T.
- Familiarity with manufacturing and fabrication techniques.
- Strong computer skills, including CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and MS Office.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience in a semiconductor test manufacturing or workshop setting, including use of tools and equipment for manufacturing, assembly and prototyping.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working with test equipment vendors to identify and standardize equipment solutions globally.
- Experience with mechanical or thermal simulation tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline (BS Mechanical Engineering or similar as stated in the posting).
