Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development (Test Development Engineer, P2)

Role Summary

The Test Development Engineer will develop and debug test solutions for new and existing semiconductor products, supporting characterization, qualification, and production release activities.

The role works across product development, validation, reliability, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve yield, test performance, and product readiness during new product introduction and production ramp.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early Career. The posting indicates P2/graduate level with approximately 2+ years of relevant engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test development, data analysis, and cross-functional support for product introductions and production release.

  • Develop and debug production and characterization test solutions for new and existing products.
  • Support product bring-up and new product introduction (NPI) activities, including test readiness, correlation, and issue tracking.
  • Analyze test, yield, and characterization data to identify trends, isolate issues, and recommend corrective actions to improve yield and test performance.
  • Prepare and drive yield analysis (YA) reviews: collect data, summarize findings, identify root causes, and follow up on actions with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with design, product engineering, reliability, validation, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues and meet execution milestones.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in test development, product engineering, validation, or similar roles.
  • Proven data analysis skills with ability to interpret yield, characterization, and test results.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and validating test solutions for semiconductor products.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor product development and production/test environments.
  • Effective cross-functional communication and issue-tracking skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) or New Product Engineer (NPE) responsibilities during product bring-up.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is specified.
