Engineer, Test Engineering - Product Development

Role Summary

Entry-level test engineer on the Product Development team responsible for designing, developing, and implementing test methods and fixtures for semiconductor products. Works across product development and manufacturing phases to prepare test programs, define test setups, and support troubleshooting and quality assurance.

Experience Level

Entry-level. 0–2 years of relevant experience (Graduate / Associate level).

Responsibilities

The role focuses on creating and executing test solutions that validate device functionality and support product qualification.

  • Design and implement cost-effective testing methodologies for systems and equipment.
  • Assist in developing test and diagnostic programs to evaluate product functionality and performance metrics.
  • Support design and fabrication of test fixtures and evaluation equipment.
  • Define test setups to apply required stresses and meet standards compliance.
  • Help plan resources for testing activities, including labor, schedules, and equipment allocation.
  • Participate in troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues during development.
  • Ensure testing processes meet established quality and qualification standards.
  • Contribute to PCB design for test setups and evaluation boards.

Requirements

Minimum technical skills and practical abilities expected for the role.

  • Ability to create structured test cases that validate product functionality against specifications.
  • Basic understanding of diagnostic testing methodologies and qualification testing concepts.
  • Fundamental knowledge of designing simple test fixtures and related equipment.
  • Capability to document clear, repeatable testing procedures.
  • Analytical troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve basic technical problems.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices as applied to test processes.
  • Fundamental PCB design principles for test applications.
  • Nice to have: prior internship or 0–2 years hands-on experience in test engineering or related roles.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred. The posting targets recent graduates (0–2 years experience).
