Engineer, Test Engineering
Role Summary
Join the Test Engineering team in Singapore to develop, optimize and sustain test equipment and processes that meet production and quality targets for semiconductor manufacturing. The role focuses on maintaining test capability, troubleshooting failures, and driving corrective actions with operations and suppliers.
Experience Level
Entry-level — typically 1–2 years of test engineering experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ensuring test equipment/process capability, quality analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop, optimize and sustain test equipment and process capability to meet operations goals.
- Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, testing, inspection, and process improvement.
- Design, install and validate testing equipment; perform product testing and failure analysis to minimize defects and failure rates.
- Analyze defective-product reports and trend data; recommend and verify corrective actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on quality problems and supplier quality improvement programs.
- Support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and perform work safely.
- Contribute to other projects and assignments as needed.
Requirements
Essential skills and experience needed to perform the role.
- 1–2 years of test engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor wafer fabrication.
- Experience with test equipment, process control, fault analysis, or testing procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, presentation and problem-solving abilities.
- Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Education Requirements
Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (as stated in the posting).
