Test Development Engineer

Role Summary

Develop test programs and test hardware for functional testing of SoC devices (memory, NVM, logic, mixed-signal and RF) and transfer those solutions into production at the Dresden Test Facility. The role supports technology development, yield engineering and quality teams.

Work contributes to product qualification for applications such as autonomous mobility, Industry 4.0 and 5G.

Experience Level

Mid-level. No specific years of experience stated; professional experience in electrical test is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develop test concepts, test hardware and test programs for functional testing of devices with memory, NVM, logic, mixed-signal and RF components.
• Perform electrical characterization of NVM, memory, logic and mixed-signal/RF devices to support technology development, yield engineering and quality.
• Install, correlate and release test programs and test hardware into production.
• Optimize yield, reduce test time and drive continuous improvement of the test process.
• Create and maintain test project documentation.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

• Must-have: Very good knowledge of electronic measurement methods.
• Must-have: Programming skills in C, C++, Java or Python.
• Must-have: Very good written and spoken English.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge in test hardware design (schematics, probe hardware preparation).
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge in memory test procedures.
• Nice-to-have: Professional experience in electrical test.

Education Requirements

Completed Master's degree or Diploma in information technology, communications engineering, electrical engineering, physics or a comparable field; equivalent practical experience acceptable.
