Role Summary
The STPG Product Engineer supports product bring-up and high-volume manufacturing for NAND and SSD products. The role focuses on failure analysis, yield improvement, and validation/qualification activities across product development and production.
The engineer will collaborate with global product engineering, test, and cross-functional teams to develop test flows, resolve qualification gating issues, and drive corrective actions using data analysis and AI-assisted investigation.
Experience Level
Entry-level β 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in SSD/NAND or related product development engineering.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include engineering support across bring-up, qualification, and manufacturing:
- Support product bring-up and transition to high-volume manufacturing for NAND and SSD products.
- Perform electrical and physical failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
- Analyze yield and production data; identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Use AI and data tools to support failure diagnosis and troubleshooting of customer returns.
- Develop and validate test flows and qualification plans for multiple customers.
- Drive cross-functional taskforces to resolve qualification gating and production issues.
- Collaborate with global product engineering teams and other departments to resolve component- and system-level issues.
Requirements
Core skills and experience expected for the role.
- Must-have: 0β2 years of working experience related to SSD/NAND, product development, or an equivalent engineering field.
- Must-have: Good understanding of NAND/SSD device operation, interfaces, and product development lifecycle.
- Must-have: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work with data to identify root causes.
- Must-have: Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Must-have: Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative and leadership potential.
- Nice-to-have: Prior experience in the NAND or SSD industry.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with computer hardware and storage interfaces such as PCIe, SATA, or SAS.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
