Engineer - Standard Cell Layout
Role Summary
Design and maintain standard cell layouts for new DRAM technologies and lead stdcell library projects from specification through PPA-qualified release. Work within physical design, DTCO, process and CAD teams to deliver production-quality cell libraries and improve layout flows.
The role includes project planning, cross-functional coordination, and development of automation and AI-assisted workflows to increase productivity.

Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Design and maintain standard cell layouts for new DRAM products and process nodes.
- Lead stdcell layout projects from initial specification to PPA-qualified library release.
- Collaborate with DTCO, process, CMOS, and CAD teams to define stdcell architecture and negotiate DRC.
- Perform layout verification and quality checks, including LVS, DRC, and latchup verification, and maintain documentation.
- Deliver block-level layouts on schedule with acceptable quality; perform area/time estimation and scheduling.
- Guide and review junior team members' sub-block layouts.
- Develop flows, methodologies, and tools (including AI-assisted workflows) to reduce manual effort and increase productivity.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications (summary):
- Practical experience in standard cell and block-level layout for advanced semiconductor processes. (Must-have)
- Experience with layout verification tools and checks: LVS, DRC, latchup. (Must-have)
- Demonstrated project leadership, scheduling, estimation, delegation, and mentoring skills. (Must-have)
- Experience working with process, DTCO, CMOS, and CAD teams in a cross-functional environment. (Must-have)
- Experience developing automation, flows, or tools to improve layout productivity; familiarity with AI-assisted workflows is preferred. (Nice-to-have)
- Experience collaborating with international teams and contributors. (Nice-to-have)
