Engineer, Software Test Automation
Role Summary
The Engineer, Software Test Automation designs, develops and qualifies automated software tests for semiconductor equipment and features across functional, regression, performance and reliability domains. The role works with cross-functional engineering teams and supports product lifecycle activities, field deployment and customer troubleshooting.
Work involves close collaboration with Algorithms, Systems Engineering, Application Engineering, Manufacturing and Customer Support; occasional travel to customer fabrication facilities is required.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and execute functional, regression, performance and reliability tests; publish results and recommendations.
- Develop, assess and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks; determine automation feasibility for test cases.
- Create training material and document best-known methods derived from qualification results.
- Develop test cases for emerging technologies such as deep learning and machine learning.
- Collaborate technically with Algorithms, Systems Engineering, Application Engineering, Marketing, Manufacturing and Customer Support across locations.
- Participate in all stages of software development, including deployment and troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Use AI tools to build utilities and applications that improve testing and automation productivity.
- Represent the SQE team in product lifecycle and program meetings.
Requirements
Minimum and preferred skills and attributes:

Requires a Masters level degree in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or a related field.
