Engineer / Senior Engineer, STPG PE (FDV-Infrastructure)
Micron TechnologyJob Title
Engineer / Senior Engineer, STPG PE (FDV-Infrastructure)
Role Summary
Work in Product Engineering within NAND Functional and Design Validation Infrastructure (FDV-Infrastructure) to validate advanced RG NAND devices. The role focuses on developing validation flows, test infrastructure, automation, and data-driven methods - including AI/ML - to improve test efficiency, coverage, and debug productivity.
Experience Level
Open at Engineer or Senior Engineer level. Senior candidates: typically 3β5 years of relevant professional experience in silicon validation, failure analysis, or related engineering roles. Entry-level years for Engineer not specified.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and run validation and test infrastructure for NAND devices, and apply data-driven tools to improve validation and debug.
- Design and execute functional and design validation flows on silicon platforms for RG NAND devices.
- Develop and maintain test program infrastructure: deterministic use-case tests, random sequence generators, and new NAND interfaces.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks using C/C++, Python, and Perl to improve test development and execution efficiency.
- Apply AI/ML techniques (analytics, pattern recognition, anomaly detection) to accelerate failure triage and root-cause analysis.
- Use data-driven methods and dashboards to track validation progress, defect trends, and release readiness.
- Analyze electrical failures (digital and analog), perform root-cause investigations, and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams.
- Identify validation coverage gaps and improve random sequence effectiveness and debug prioritization.
Requirements
Core technical skills and behaviors required; separate items marked as advantages where applicable.
- Must-have: Proficiency in software development and scripting (C/C++, Python, Perl).
- Must-have: Experience in silicon validation, failure analysis, or product/ design validation.
- Must-have: Ability to apply AI/ML methods for test analytics and defect pattern analysis.
- Must-have: Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills; effective written and verbal communication in English.
- Must-have: Ability to manage priorities and multitask in a fast-paced development environment; proactive continuous-improvement mindset.
- Nice-to-have: ATE test program development experience (Teradyne, Advantest) and prior work with memory products.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is specified.
