Engineer, Product Engineering — Media Health Manufacturing (HIG-HBM)
Role Summary
Lead technical ownership of manufacturing test and media health for Micron's next-generation High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products, including DRAM die, interface die, and stacked HBM. Drive test flow development, yield improvement, reliability, and DFT strategies to optimize quality, cost, cycle time, and scale.
Work closely with Fab, Product Leads, Design Engineering, Technology Development, and Test Solutions to deliver validated solutions for high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include technical execution and continuous improvement of manufacturing test and media health for HBM products.
- Develop, validate, and characterize manufacturing test flows, including CAD and Verilog simulations for new products.
- Ensure optimized test coverage across HBM architectures and process nodes.
- Perform deep circuit debug, root-cause analysis, and resolve manufacturing, qualification, and RMA device issues.
- Drive device- and stack-level yield improvement and test-time reduction to lower cost and cycle time.
- Contribute to Design-For-Test (DFT) strategy and introduce innovative test strategies to improve product quality and cost competitiveness.
- Make technical decisions on risk analysis and project prioritization.
- Mentor and develop team members and build project management capabilities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Fab, technology development, design, system development, and quality/reliability teams.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to streamline workflows and accelerate decision-making.
Requirements
Essential technical skills and demonstrable experience needed to perform the role.
- Experience with semiconductor devices, circuit design, and product validation.
- Familiarity with CMOS technology, DRAM architecture, and basic device physics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with focus on root-cause analysis and exploring solution spaces.
- Practical experience with data analysis, statistics, and scripting (Python, JMP, or similar).
- High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and commitment to quality in high-volume manufacturing.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, team-based projects and communicate technical concepts clearly in English.
- Flexible, eager to learn, and willing to take on diverse responsibilities in a dynamic engineering environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
