Engineer, Probe Software
Role Summary
Responsible for improving Probe operations at Fab 10N/X through data analytics and software development. The engineer will identify operational improvement opportunities, design and deploy software solutions, and work with global Probe teams to reduce issue resolution time and improve product quality.
Experience Level
Mid-level. No explicit years-of-experience stated; candidates with semiconductor internship or industry experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include developing monitoring and automation solutions, driving process improvements, and collaborating with worldwide Probe stakeholders.
- Develop real-time reporting, monitoring, and alerting for production issues using Tableau and custom software.
- Design and implement software solutions to reduce turnaround time for engineering and production issue resolution.
- Automate material tracking, product disposition, and validation workflows to ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with the global Probe community on projects with significant operational impact.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency and quality while complying with organizational and legal requirements.
- Identify, test, and share AI-enabled and other continuous-improvement enhancements within scope of work.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional attributes followed by preferred qualifications.
Must-have- Strong programming ability (language-agnostic).
- Strong analytical, logical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Experience with Linux and SQL or equivalent command-line/database experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication; able to collaborate across levels.
- Baseline digital fluency and role-appropriate AI literacy to use AI-enabled tools responsibly.
- Experience with Perl and Tableau.
- Semiconductor industry experience or internship background.
- Relevant coursework in machine learning and advanced programming.
- Demonstrated leadership and a track record of project impact.
- Interest in Micron and semiconductor technologies.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or advanced degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields. Relevant coursework in machine learning and programming is a plus.
