Job Title
Engineer - PIE YE
Role Summary
The Process Integration & Equipment (PIE) Yield Enhancement (YE) engineer will analyze yield drivers in wafer fabrication and work with cross-functional fab teams to identify, communicate and resolve process- and tool-related yield issues. The role supports transfer of next-generation technology from R&D to production and contributes to multi-area focus teams solving complex yield problems.
Experience Level
Entry-level / Early career. The posting does not specify years of experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include investigating yield loss, collaborating with fab groups, and driving corrective actions.
- Perform yield data analysis and identify yield limiters; publish clear Pareto analyses for assigned part types.
- Use semiconductor device physics, electronics and manufacturing process knowledge to diagnose and resolve yield issues.
- Apply statistical and data-analysis tools to quantify root causes and validate fixes.
- Communicate process/tool-related yield toggles to fab process areas and support implementation of corrective actions.
- Work closely with internal Yield Enhancement groups and cross-functional teams; participate in multi-area focus teams.
- Present findings and recommendations in large meetings; prepare clear written and verbal reports.
- Support technology transfer from R&D to production fabs when required.
Requirements
