Engineer, MTB PQA Lab
Role Summary
Provide physical failure analysis (PFA) support for qualifications, customer returns, new device introductions and general test failures at Micron Taiwan (MTB). Act as the subject matter expert for PFA/EFA methods, identify defects from assembly, test and upstream wafer fabrication, and work with Process Integration, Assembly Product, Test and MRB teams to classify failures and implement root-cause fixes.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include failure isolation and analysis, lab and equipment management, and communication with cross-functional teams.
- Perform electrical characterization and verification to confirm failures and isolate root cause.
- Apply and develop PFA/EFA de-processing techniques appropriate to package and die-level failures.
- Analyze test and qualification data, and extract relevant information from backend test flows.
- Document failure analysis methods and results; provide timely feedback to Product, Process Integration, Assembly and MRB teams.
- Train staff and certify FA methodologies; ensure the PFA lab is prepared for analysis of new designs.
- Manage laboratory operations: schedule/coordinate calibrations, procure parts, and coordinate vendor equipment repairs.
- Maintain lab compliance with IATF, ISO14001 and OHSAS standards.
- Work night shift as required and coordinate with technicians/operators across shifts.
