As a Verification Engineer in the Secure Computing Products Group, you will develop and own verification for complex blocks and subsystems in ARM-based SoCs. You will collaborate with design, architecture, and validation teams to ensure features are implemented correctly and meet quality targets.
Experience Level
Mid-level - Engineer II. Target experience: approximately 2β4 years in ASIC/SoC functional verification.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include block- and chip-level verification, test plan development, environment development, and debugging.
- Own verification of complex blocks and subsystems within ARM-based SoCs.
- Perform block- and chip-level functional verification and RTL/simulation bring-up.
- Define test plans from specifications; implement constrained-random and directed tests; drive coverage closure.
- Develop test environments using SystemVerilog and UVM; create test cases and run regressions.
- Generate and analyze code/functional coverage; correlate results with the test plan.
- Debug RTL and testbench issues; perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with design teams to resolve bugs.
- Contribute to AI/automation initiatives for regression management, coverage tracking, and debug automation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers; improve verification methodology, reuse, and efficiency.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; nice-to-have items noted separately.
- Must-have: Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM methodology.
- Hands-on experience developing block/subsystem/SoC-level verification environments.
- Solid understanding of AMBA, USB, I2C, SPI, and eSPI protocols.
- Strong knowledge of digital design, RTL fundamentals, and simulation/debug flows.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (Python, Tcl, Perl).
- Good programming skills in C or C++.
- Experience with Cadence, Synopsys, or Mentor verification platforms.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical and debugging skills; ability to lead cross-site teams.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to AI/ML-based verification, emulation, or acceleration.
Education Requirements
