Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include test plan development, test program and ATE board design, and silicon characterization to ensure product quality and manufacturability.
- Develop pre-silicon characterization test plans based on product features.
- Develop test programs and ATE board designs for existing and new products.
- Debug test programs and execute characterization plans.
- Analyze silicon performance, yield, and device marginalities.
- Conduct production test yield analysis and root-cause investigations.
- Support analysis of customer returns and collaborate with customer quality and applications teams.
- Drive cost and quality improvements across wafer fabrication, assembly, probe, final test, and supply chain.
- Design and develop PCBs for IC environmental qualification and perform bench lab testing.
- Aggregate and analyze multi-source data and generate reports for characterization, qualification, and yield analysis.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor IC development (device characterization, validation, qualification).
- Hands-on ATE hardware/software experience (examples: Diamond X, J750, Uflex).
- Advanced statistical data analysis; scripting proficiency (e.g., Perl) and familiarity with YieldHub or similar tools.
- Experience with version control systems (GIT, SVN, Perforce).
- Comfortable in Linux/Unix and Windows environments; skilled with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc.).
- Experience working directly with customers to resolve technical and logistical issues.
Nice-to-have:
- ATE board design and PCB layout experience.
